BareBoat Charter

Per the United States Coast Guard (USCG), a bareboat charter is an agreement where the Charterer (client) has use of a vessel for a period of time and is temporarily considered the owner. The Charterer is responsible for the the vessel, their guests, hiring their own Crew, and for supplying their own food & beverage. Please note that the Charterer may either operate the vessel (if credentialed) or may hire their own Captain/Crew. A bareboat chartered vessel may NOT carry more than 12 passengers.

Weather Policy

Weather. LuxeLife Yacht Charters Chicago reserves the right to cancel the Services in case it considers, at its own discretion, the weather to be non-charterable, be it because of large waves, heavy rains, thunderstorms, heavy winds, or other conditions. In this case, rescheduling (at no additional costs) must be done by Charterer within twelve (12) months of the Rental Period, subject to Services availability. Charterer acknowledges that any other weather conditions such as, without limitations, cloudy weather, light rain, or passing storms are deemed charterable conditions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation. Cancellation by Charterer for any reason more than three (3) days before the Rental Period, including if due to an event outside the control of Charterer, is subject to a five percent (5%) cancellation fee which will be automatically deducted from the reimbursement of the Fee. Cancellations made three (3) days or less before the Rental Period will automatically result in the loss of the total Fee. Any cancellation must be made in writing via email to

 

All requests for cancellations and changes must be made in writing via email to bookings@luxelifeyacht.com by the Charterer. Please include the following information:

 

  • Charterer’s full name

  • Organization name (if applicable)

  • Scheduled date and time of charter

  • Identify request for cancellation

  • Reason for cancellation


 

Please note that all rescheduled charterers are exempt from the above mentioned cancellation schedule (meaning that charterers may not reschedule a charter for a future date and cancel it 14 days or more out in order to receive a full refund).
